Re: State Frequency 770.71875
Someone in the know appears to have submitted to RadioReference that this is a mobile extender frequency for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Re: P25 Audio clips
Just out of curiosity, Brandon, what setup are you using to get such high quality P25 recordings? They seem to sound so much better than any decoding I have ever heard from a scanner.

Re: Mass shooting in San Bernardino, 12/02/15
Thankfully I happened to have the day off. It was cool to listen to the Redlands PD FTY from beginning to end. That was pretty intense!

Re: San Bernardino County P25 Upgrade Plans
On Tuesday, September 15, the County Board of Supervisors will be approving an amendment to the rebanding agreement with Nextel. It will revise the agreement from a system re-tuning to a system upgrade to be performed under the current system upgrade contract with Motorola. Review the documents here .

Re: San Bernardino County P25 Upgrade Plans
Sometime recently it appears that most talkgroups were moved to encrypted transmissions for field units while dispatch consoles remained in the clear. I confirmed even the long time talkgroup patch for Fontana PD has some encryption from the field units who are on the P25 side. It seems at this mome...

Eastern San Bernardino Valley area. Because I'm blocked by the Crafton Hills, I usually can't hear anything east or south of me.sp1989 wrote:Where were you when you monitored this? You said outside RivCo, but can you nail it down a little better?

Re: State Frequency 770.71875
I've had a radio parked on this freq all day, not a peep. That shows much dedication. I couldn't say that I have any expectations for this frequency one way or another. It did sound as though it could have been patched audio, but I only received one understandable hit of maybe two or thre...

State Frequency 770.71875
This morning I caught a transmission on a state 700 MHz frequency at around 10:45 a.m. It sounded like County Fire referencing a location near Desert Hot Springs: "...[Avenida] Florencita cross of Camino Campanero, RVC Command 9, RVC Tac 10 for primary, RVC Tac 4 for secondary..." Frequenc...

Re: Who Uses What System?
That kinda what I"m thinking, a list of users and the systems associated with them. It's confusing because, SBSO, for example, uses several of the systems as oppposed to just being on one. From what I can see, the P-25 system will be easier to follow because it's one big system as opposed to b...
