Heh, thats funny. Until now, my address was in Romoland, but my ZIP often came up on company computers as Sun City. So I would tell people I live in the Romoland/Sun City/Menifee area.

Is it one of those little rubber ones for the top of a hand-held scanner that has '800Mhz' printed on it? Those things are awsome... I own several and I am not a fan of any Radio Shack products.

I dont believe the RSO TAC channels your talking about are repeated. They may have the ability to be... (zz?) BP is conventional VHF-high, mostly encypted. You cant really monitor anything unless they use CLEMARS for something, and that's rare.

That is correct. The Orions are control stations (mobile radios, actually) installed on the consoles for air entry into the trunked system when the consoles are down. It's a common (and very good) practice seen in most dispatch centers. BTW, In SB County, they're referred to as "doomsday"...
