Re: Video from structure fire in Murrieta
Thanks Brian. I actually used to operate a "news blog" website where I posted videos all the time. I ended up taking it down due to lack of public interest and lack of free time on my part. I'll just use you tube as a forum now if I have anything great to share.

Structure fire in Murrieta
This post should be in the "Breaking Incidents" section, but most of the activity on this forum takes place in this section, so I'm posting a link here.

Video from structure fire in Murrieta
Not sure if anyone heard about the structure fire in Murrieta last night (Monday night), but this thing was burning good. It was a 3 story office building under construction at the intersection of Kalmia Street and Washington Avenue, about a block south of Murrieta Valley High School. There was a tw...

Truck 58
Sounds like Mo Val's truck 58 is finally in operation. I just heard them get dispatched to a call. So... does that mean Moreno Valley is running a light truck at Station 91 and Station 58 and the Tiller (ladder truck) out of Station 2?

Re: Comments: Radio Shack 800Mhz Antenna
It's not going to be possible to receive Murrieta PD from Canyon Lake, unless you can get an antenna a few hundred feet up in the air. The hills that run along the north end of Murrieta (just south of Bundy Canyon / Scott Road and just north of Clinton Keith) block the line of sight to the transmiss...

Re: Menifee city
I thought the cityhood wasn't taking place until January 1st? Also... I thought the voted upon name was "Menifee Valley"... I guess some things have changed since I last looked into it. Either way... it's definately easier than saying the Romoland/Sun City/Menifee area.

Re: Murrieta PD Info
Some new info: The "Tom" units are not commercial enforcement - rather, they are traffic units in general, some of which include the commercial enforcement officers. The motor units fall into the traffic division (obviously), but they do not use a "tom" indicator on the air, even...

Murrieta PD Info
In case anyone else listens to Murrieta PD... I have compiled some info regarding their designators and patrol beats. I'm still trying to obtain a beat map for more specific boundries, but this is the best I could come up with for now: "Sam" units are supervisors - usually Sergeants, but s...

Re: AMR's MedNet patched to RRU Dispatch?
When I was a dispatcher in Perris, this was a major topic of concern. I remember that dispatchers used to get really upset when an AMR unit would come up on an RRU frequency for information regarding a call. The department finally had to write an SOP that said that any cooperating agency has the aut...

Re: Ops/chiefs net
The ops net used to be a low-band communication link for chiefs and/or the command center in Perris. All of the old command vehicles and chief's vehicles had low band radios installed so they could talk to each other privately, seperate from the normal field operations taking place on the regular VH...
