The purchase of P25 radios may have had more to do with grant funds than anything. I don't know how PSP purchased their radios, but if they were in fact purchased with grant funds, they are required to buy P25 equipment, VHF included. I can confirm that it is weak in Hemet also. I wonder if this is a localized intentional outage due to law enforcements issues at the Soboba reservation?

I've been copying tons of P25 traffic on 154.920 MHz. Full scale in Hemet. Anyone else copying this?

I heard this morning (around 5:30-6:00) a guy singing and talking on RSO's conventional 866.5125 PL156.7 I-Tac-1 frequency. That is I-TAC1. A repeated pair (821.5125) with a PL tone of 156.7. Thats available to all public agencies. Its not just an RSO frequency. You're probably hearing the repeater...
