Re: Question about Uniden Bearcat BC246T
That is very weird. From my own experience sound #3 occurs if listening in NON-trunked mode. I have taken screen shots from FreeSCAN if you want to compare with yours. I suppose it's possible something may have gotten screwed up during the export/import process. Some areas to check are highlighted i...

Re: Question about Uniden Bearcat BC246T
Hmm that is very strange. Below are 3 audio clips of EDACS noise tell me if it sounds like any of these? 1. EDACS Data #1 - Control Channel 2. EDACS Data #2 3. EDACS Data #3 I know the 996 and 396 had issues with burping but was fixed in the latest firmware patch. I never had this problem with my 24...

461.6375 LTR system
461.6375 appears to be part of a 2 channel LTR system. LTR Analyzer shows 461.6375 as LCN 1. There is a reference to LCN-05 but I have not located the freq yet. Talkgroup 0-01-025 is a tow company in San Jacinto area. Talkgroup 0-01-123 unknown users discussing Hemet PD armed robbery call heard over...

Re: Question about Uniden Bearcat BC246T
It's for recording audio to a computer or other device, mostly used for the base models that have 2 audio jacks. I believe the 246T just uses the headphone jack so tape out setting might not be needed for that radio.

Re: I-Calls for RSO
i-calls are individual calls between one radio and another. RSO refers to it as "individual". Most of the i-calls are rather boring (the motor officers really use and abuse them  ) but sometimes there is interesting stuff to be heard. Dispatch may use it to contact deputies that d...

Re: RSO Site List...
My list just shows the active frequencies currently being used. That list has all the channels (a few of them are turned off). I suppose they can be added to the database, but in the past few years I've been running UniTrunker, I've never seen them used. Hope this helps clear any confusion.

Moreno Valley Storms
I was getting onto the 215 from the 60, KFI 640 said something about a tornado and I joked "Hmm maybe theres one in Perris"... no sooner I turn my head and THERE IT IS --- a funnel from cloud all the way to the ground. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! The tornado crossed the 215 fwy, ...

Re: Question about Uniden Bearcat BC246T
ARC246 is good software but personally I find FreeSCAN is much easier to use. You can download a free trial of ARC246 from their website (www.butel.nl) and compare the two. It's mostly comes down to user preference and cost.

Re: Help...
What system number are you trying to program? Some of them must be programmed as splinter systems (mostly the desert ones). I sent you a PM with my email to send the Win97 data file.
