Border Patrol was in pursuit of a car tonight from what I was hearing from RSO. What system do they (Border Patrol) use? All are encrypted or something like that right? (As in no way to for us to monitor them...)
Thanks!

I dont understand the whole "image" thing...brandon wrote:Sounds very similar to your 900 MHz image. 418 MHz would not be a valid range for Canyon Lake... that is where the feds hang out
The other freq besides the ones you listed for Canyon Lake is 464.875 D043

Can you answer this question?
Canyon Lake Security uses frequency 461.3875 for their repeater output... And uses 466.3875 (obviously) for the repeater input... I was searching through random frequencies and found that I can also hear them loud and clear on frequency 418.7875... Which is not one of their freqs and not on any site...

Regarding PL/DPL tones...
If I search through frequencys and come accross a frequency with activity using a PL/DPL tone, it is always a conventional frequency right?
OR, can a trunking system use PL/DPL?

List of RSO I-Call ID's
Does anyone know if the I-Call ID's stay the same for each deputy? Or each radio? Or each beat? As in, would there be any purpose to logging and tagging I-Call ID's?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: RSO radio's when system goes down...
That is correct. The Orions are control stations (mobile radios, actually) installed on the consoles for air entry into the trunked system when the consoles are down. It's a common (and very good) practice seen in most dispatch centers. BTW, In SB County, they're referred to as "doomsday"...

Re: RSO radio's when system goes down...
I dont know for-sure, as I have not been in the Riverside County Sheriff dispatch center (yet). I have, however, been in several other Southern Californina dispatch centers and I know that they use mobile radios like the ones you might see in the patrol cars, as back-ups to their computer-controled...
