Re: starting facebook page
I love the idea! I think it would be a lot more convenient for those who have Facebook accounts to be updated with scanner news, along with updates from friends and family.

Re: RSO During 10 33
No, they simply don't talk. Occasionally during very busy times, you'll hear the dispatcher say "On 1033, stby to copy a 273.5", but dispatch will rarely broadcast calls for service while on 1033 unless it is a priority one call. But generally deputies are not to run plates or say anything...

Re: RSO Radio Plan
I think that the car/car station channels can't be monitored at dispatching consoles because they're just there for officer chatter Well, I don't know anything about a standardized radio plan, but I do know for a fact that dispatchers have the ability to monitor any and all channels. Some do and so...

Re: Goodhew Ambulance
Did the county dump AMR's contract? Now that is funny stuff!!!!! :) AMR has recently "redecorated" a few ambulances. In addition to the Goodhew theme, there is at least one that is white with almost all blue striping and lettering, but it's got a Cystic Fibrosis theme. The only reason I a...

Goodhew Ambulance
Recently (past two days or so), I have been seeing Goodhew ambulances around the city of Temecula, and have not seen ANY AMR units around. Did the county dump AMR's contract?

Re: RVC Fire CMD freqs
Very cool news! Based on the time it's supposed to happen, I'm guessing the switch will happen around the time that the PSEC goes online (late 2012 ish).

Re: How do you prefer to Scan?
With my PSR500, which I love (hope that doesn't start any wars :D ), I listen to it pretty much constantly as well. Partially, this is becuase I am a feed provider on RadioReference, but also because I am paranoid about missing any calls, which is also why I record every transmission. It used to be ...

Murrieta using 866.5125?
I-Tac 1 is also used by Murrieta as a backup channel (866.5125). Heard dispatch and other Murrieta cops in this freq this morning at about 8:41. Anyone know about this.

AMR not answering RRU-1 calls?
Sorry for all the questions lately, everyone. Has anyone else noticed that AMR no longer acknowledges their reciept of a call on RRU-1? Or am I in a poor radio area?
