Re: Transports in formation

More than 200 skydivers -- 202 to be precise -- set a world record on Tuesday afternoon, Skydive Perris posted on its Facebook page. Re: C-17's at March ARB

Thanks for the info. It may have been. I didn't have my ear that close to the scanner. It was just something that I hadn't seen before. Two at a time yes but not Three.Possibly they were visiting because I believe the MAFB C-17's have the "REACH" handle. Maybe not all of them.

C-17's at March ARB

Watched 3 C-17's fly in together from the NE at about 5:30 PM tonight. They checked in with March Tower 127.650 and landed one behind the other. Rare to see them out 3 at a time. Anyone know where they might have been?

Thanks

Re: Riverside County EDACS System (unknowns) updated 11/12/2008

Mil Helicopters in SoCal

I was eating lunch near March ARB on Friday and we watched 4 CH-53's come in and land from the south. Last night I heard on my scanner another group of Helo's coming to March. The pilot said that he was 15 mi east of the base and he was asking for clearance to land. The controller replied to him tha...

Did anyone see this story in the Press Enterprise a couple of days ago? Would these new towers throughout the County help us hear a little better? The article says that it would certainly help Public Safety.

Re: Walgreens Distribution Center - LTR System

It's on Perris Blvd between Moreno Valley and Perris. If you were on the 215 you would take the Oleander offramp and go east about a mile.I pass by it twice a day.
