Re: Cal Fire on UHF?

I have no info on 453.0875 (I'm in Riverside), but to answer a question posed earlier in the thread: I'm not aware of a UHF link between Riverside FD and Cal Fire. they do, however, use 154.175 as a VHF link between the two. RFD apparently leaves this link on 24/7 as you can hear their Command 2 cha...

Re: CHP on 460.45

Thanks for the info, "800". Sounds like it might be worth monitoring for a heads-up on CHP activity.

Two more freqs I can now put into the scanner where Riv Co Sheriff used to be.

Re: CHP on 460.45

I plugged in this freq and in the last hour I heard "Union Pacific 7534" and "Union Pacific 7503" callsigns on it. Interesting that you mention that, Brandon. When I heard this the other day it was in reference to the CHP unit being dispatched to a report of someone on the freew...

CHP on 460.45

CHP San Bernardino dispatching a "75-" unit to I-10 near Cedar. PL was 127.3.
Radio Reference lists this as a CHP UHF frequency for use statewide, but this is the first time I've heard it used by CHP.
Four years ago I heard a DMV unit calling Fresno here.

Re: Where Can I Get My Radio Fixed?

Follow up: I sent my three PRO-97's out on July 24th and received them back on Aug 2nd. The in-shop turn around was four days. They replaced all three BNC connectors, all three scratched display face plates, and a broken battery case cover. They also tuned them up to original specs. Total cost for a...

Re: Where Can I Get My Radio Fixed?

Just curious, how did the BNC connector on your Pro 97s break? Did the antennas get bent to the extreme? I have several, so far no problems but should I expect the connectors to break eventually? Thanks! When the PRO-97 first came out there were reports of a poor internal wiring connection on the B...

Re: 453.3

I'm glad you said that, Brandon. I thought I was going crazy. For the past few years I've noticed a considerable depreciation in RPD's and RFD's repeater signal strength. This happens occasionally. I HAVE noticed it occurs during Santa Ana winds, but it also occurs randomly. I live in southwest Rive...
