The current EDACS talkgroup is used by Prevention officers to talk to RSO, we also sometimes use it on the com unit to talk to Perris while on an event such as Coachella Fest..etc. There will be a VHF patch that we will have access to the new system, not sure how it will work yet.

New antennas on RSO/Temecula PD cars????
I noticed 2 new low profile PCTEL antennas installed on the trunks of some Temecula PD/RSO cars cars. Anyone know what they are using these for? Data?? Voice? are they for the new radio system?

I hear a couple San Diego PD motors quite frequently, they just chat on the way to work. I have heard these guys in the early AM and they live in my neigborhood.
