Re: Riverside County Antennas
Unfortunately, I have Verizon, not Dish Network or DirecTV. That's a cool idea, though. I just want a portable (hand-held) antenna to use in southwest Riverside County that will pick up 150 - 860 MHz. I reallize that it isn't so cut and dry, and that there is no "perfect antenna", but want...

Riverside County Antennas
What is the best all-around antenna for Southwest Riverside County? I am usually monitoring county fire and sheriff, Murrieta Police and Fire, and occasionaly the CHP. I want to find a good antenna that will work decently for all of these agencies, but I'm not quite sure there is one. I am currently...

Camp Pendleton Lake Elsinore Repeater
I noticed this system the other day, programmed it into my PSR-500 and got some traffic. Anyone know if this is just a fill-in site for when the main site gets over loaded? The only reason I ask is because I remember hearing a lot more traffic down in San Diego County than I can from this site (5-00...

I'd thought I'd share this with all you guys sense RSO's press releases are very embellished and distract from what really occured. At about 4:35 PM, Sheriff's Deputies from the Southwest station responded code to the Well's Fargo Bank on Ynez Rd in reference to a man that was just robbed (dispatch ...

Re: Sleeping with a radio
I can sleep with RSO going, but hard to do with RVC Fire since the tones always wake me up  My alarm clock has WiFi so I can plug in various feeds and sleep to them as well. I also have a computer running etrunker that will beep each time a code red button goes off. Pretty annoying for acciden...

RSO Dispatch Numbers
Is there any difference between the dedicated number for "Temecula Police" (951-696-HELP) and the Sheriff's Department Number (951-776-1099). Does it actually matter, or will it eventually route you to the same place?

Re: I'm pretty sure this isn't possible, but maybe I'm wrong
This alarmed me, too when he told me that he was not using it for something illegal. I asked him what he was really going to use it for, turns out it's for his car (speed), which would obviously be a radar detector. Sorry for crowding the forum for a stupid question like this, guys.
