Re: Can the PSR-410 track EDACS patches, like the PSR-500 ca
Hey, Brandon. I did download version U1.1 as soon as I got the scanner. I'm thinking it has something to do with the firmware update, but I can't remove it now because there isn't an installer for it.

Can the PSR-410 track EDACS patches, like the PSR-500 can?
As we all know, at many times during the day, RSO patches talkgroups together for various reasons. With the latest firmware from GRE, my PSR-500 tracks these patches seamlessly. My new PSR-410, however, cannot. Anyone else have the PSR-410 can can successfully track patched talkgroups? I emailed GRE...

Re: Riverside County Antennas
Thanks everyone for the info. I just bought a Diamond D-220 discone antenna and will put it on my roof shortly. I don't care what the neighbors think (or the HOA).

Re: RRU-1 with long hissing squelch tails.
Yes, I have both of them. I actually discovered that it was interferance because of metal debris on my roof. So, I relocated the antenna and it went away. Thanks for the info, though!

RRU-1 with long hissing squelch tails.
After a user (dispatcher or fireman) transmitts on RRU 1, I get a 3 second continuous hiss after their transmission is complete. Sometimes the hissing squelch tails are longer than others, and I have tried using multiple antennas. I tripple checked my configuration in my scanner and it is all correc...

Re: San Bernardino and other counties
Personally, I think a San Diego site would be awsome, scense there is a much higher demand down there than in SBD Co. On the other hand, though, if you did create a San Bernardino site, it could sort of form an Inland Empire-wide site.

Re: RSO Patrol Shifts
I'm not sure about the precise start/end times, but I do know that all of the shifts are exactly the same for every station in the county.

How to get rid of squelch tails?
Within the past month, RRU 1 has had a 1/3 second squelch tail (static) on the end of all their transmission. How can I get rid of this on my GRE PSR-500? I have tried lowering the "RF SQ Fade" option, but doing so interrupts transmissions on trunked systems. Is there another option or set...
