Re: CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire went narrowband today

RRU 3 has (or should I say had) two tones. 94.8 was for Coachella Valley fire dispatch, and 88.5 for Blythe area fire dispatch. If stuff had changed, I should update my scanner before I go down south and realize I'm not getting anything.

Re: AMR's MedNet patched to RRU Dispatch?

As for the desert, there are paramedics at almost every FS. AMR dispatches for Palm Springs and maybe DHS if I know correctly. Blythe has its ambulance service dispatched by Riverside Medics or something like that. They may have AMR units deployed in all those unincorporated areas.

Re: Cells vs Stations

I am not sure if this is correct but here is a reference: West = Jurupa, Moreno Valley Central = Cabazon/Hemet South = Lake Elsinore, Perris, Temecula Desert = Indio, Palm Desert Blythe = Colorado River Because the system is networked and the south cell is a simulcast cell, you can expect to hear ot...

Re: San Bernardino and other counties

I also know that there are many simplex 800MHz band frequencies available for use although don't know much beyond that.

Re: Best way to alpha tag Frequencies/TGID's?

Hey! That's a thought! Maybe I should start doing that and it'll be easier to monitor! So you probably write "Jurupa 2" since Jurupa Car/Car = Channel 2? That way, I good variation on the Desert site would be: Palm Desert 1 Palm Desert 2 Palm Desert 3 Palm Desert 4 Indio 5 Indio 6 Indio 7 ...

Re: New to RSO and Confused

I'm almost 100% sure that it's because none of the eastern talkgroups come up on the west side of the county. Likewise, if you were actually living in the Blythe area, you would have a hard time picking up Norco or Moreno Valley as the western talkgroups won't come up on the east side of the county.

Re: RSO

And another thing you also must consider is that because that scanner has 10 different banks, you need to store each site as a seperate EDACS Standard system. (I learned that the hard way when I visited my uncle back in 09).

Re: San Bernardino and other counties

I see what you mean but wikis are things that anyone can freely edit. This would speed up creation as everybody has their knowledge and can write about things in detail (i.e. fire station locations, etc...).

In the wiki, we could have lists of frequencies by community or something like that.
