Uniden Announces DMR/MotoTRBO™ Support

Post by brandon »

Demonstrating our commitment to continually enhance the value and relevance of your investment in Uniden products, today we announce the latest upgrades for our flagship BCD436HP and BCD536HP scanners. Soon, owners of these scanners will be able to add the ability to monitor and scan Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) systems including MotoTRBO™ Connect Plus and MotoTRBO Capacity Plus systems with a single paid upgrade, making these scanners the indisputable best-in-class solution for monitoring radio systems. Until now, you've either needed to purchase a single-use radio to monitor these systems or kludge together a system using multiple radio dongles plugged into a PC.

Brandon, what is there to listen to with these new modes, is there anything besides the mall security you mentioned? I'm in Valle Vista, somehow I don't think there is much, if anything out here in BFE

There is a lot of DMR in the 451-454 and 461-465 MHz range. It's mostly business type users like towing, security, etc.
I think its a worthwhile upgrade to have these modes since they are becoming more popular.

It will be nice to have NXDN (not yet available on Uniden) because the FSP uses it, so does KABC TV and railroads are using it more too.

Thanks, Brandon. If you were going to buy a new scanner that covers all this, which one would you pick? Thanks for your input!
