Riverside National Cemetery

Post by retiredFD07 »

Yesterday I went to RNC to help place grave flags for Memorial Day, and did some monitoring while I was there. My goal was to find the freqs used at RNC. I used a Pro-2042 to search the 163-174 band and a Pro-97 to monitor what I found and ID the PL codes. All of the following frequencies were found during the 2042 search, and all sounded like RNC traffic. Here's what I came up with:

164.175 PL156.7. This appears to be the input to channel 1 (168.3625R).
164.41 (probably 164.4125) security units that went to channel 1 and were then heard on 164.175. Transmissions here were also heard on 172.6875. I could hear this freq on the 2042 but when I programmed it into the 97 I couldn't hear anything.
167.45 also heard on 164.175.
167.6125 PL047 These transmissions were also heard on 168.525 and 172.6875.
168.3625R PL156.7 Identified as channel 1.
168.525 PL023 Also heard on 167.6125
168.575 R PL103.5
172.6875 PL023 The traffic I heard here was also being broadcast on 164.41 and 167.61. I'm not entirely sure if any of these freqs are accurate or possibly intermod.
173.545 Transmissions here were also heard on both channel 1 freqs.

After I got home I saw the three freqs listed here on ScaRiverside.

My questions for this discussion are:
Can anyone confirm any of the other frequencies I have listed as being used by RNC?
Since I can't receive RNC from my location, can anyone closer monitor these frequencies (preferably on a weekend, as that's probably when they have the most activity) and let me know if they're all valid freqs for RNC?

Thanks for your comments and help.

About 30 funerals per day take place at RNC. I got this info from an RNC employee while waiting to bury a neighbor who was a Korea veteran.

They don't have "slack" days.
