Whoa I don't know if I want the mobile or the portable one. Too good to be true. It was about time they had P25 Phase 2 on a scanner.

Does anyone on here have experience with these new scanners that have every freq known to man installed and you program them by putting in your zip code? Somehow, that seems like it would not work very well, just a SWAG though. I know Home Patrol and some RS stuff works that way, as does this new fangled thing. At $599, I'm with Big Ed, I don't think I'll be getting one, unless it decodes encryption, which nothing can.

What is your fixation with the clock radio scanner? That's what clock radios are for, not communications receivers. I personally wish radios would look more mil spec rather than like a Transformer or a marital aid, as a lot of RS's past scanners did.

Well they had several clock radio scanners all of which could only receive analog and conventional radio systems. Think it's about time they got their acts together and made a trunktracking clock radio scanner.
