RCPD Channel 3 encrypted?

This is the place to discuss Riverside County scanning related topics. Whether it be something about a particular agency, radios, antennas, or other general scanner related questions, you can talk about it here.

I think that non-RSO contracts had the EDACS radios used in conventional mode so they could log in to the RSO network if they ever had to. Like you said we could see the same with this system.

And I never knew how old Riverside's UHF radio system was.

I've never heard encrypted P25 traffic on CH3 and ALL the traffic I have heard on CH 7 is encrypted. I have not heard a single analog transmission on CH 7 since they cut over to P25. LA IMPACT uses a channel 12.5 kHz away (460.4625) for some of their stuff in the I.E. so it could be their analog traffic that is being heard on .2500.

You're only human, and humans are bound to make mistakes. It's part of this thing called life.
