I'm good with Uniden but very informative article nevertheless.

GRE is who makes Radio Shack scanners. I haven't really cared for Uniden stuff since the 80's, their stuff doesn't hold up well in my experience.

I love and trust Uniden. I wanted to get a phone system like my uncle has but all the stores I visited didn't have it. That's why I had to go for an AT&T whcih actually has a little more bonus. ;)

Too bad Regency went out of business, they made handhelds that were SOLID. The case was metal, you could run over it with your car and not hurt them. One of those with trunking & P-25 capability would be awesome.
