Skip seems to be in....

Hearing tons of activity in the normally dead 27 mhz band. Haven't heard anything out of the ordinary on the public safety low band freqs yet, maybe the MUF is below 30 mhz.

That really seems excitiing. Too bad skip doesn't work for trunked systems.

Skip seems to be in....13/Oct/2014

Conditions seem good today, listening to a station in Hawaii talking to someone in Chattanooga, TN on 26.775 AM. Lots of crazy stuff coming from Mexico, too. Just heard a fire department from somewhere dispatching a medical aid "at the Meyers residence" on 33.90 mhz, no distinctive accent. According to RR, only a few states on the east coast use this freq.

Also hearing traffic on 45.50 and 45.02 mhz, does not sound like CHP, likely skip as well. Heard telephone ringing in the background from dispatch.
