Need Help With A Local User On LTR

Post by retiredFD07 »

I don't know why I didn't think of asking the group for help on this earlier.

On 461.85 there's a school bus service operating in the Corona-Norco area. The base ID's as "Corona", and they have a yard in Norco. It's part of an LTR system, using a TG ID of 1-01-140. The LCN ID is R01.

Two questions:
1 - Who is this? As of this morning, they're apparently also providing service in the Orange - Placentia area of Orange County, as one bus with students had a flat tie and another bus nearby came to her aid. This was at Kraemer & La Palma.
2 - Does anyone have the full LCN and frequency plan for this system? 461.85 is the only frequency I've been able to ID on this system, as 1-01-140 is the most prominent user and they seem to always be on 461.85.

Other ID's I've seen on this frequency (but not necessarily part of this system) are: 1-01-149, 1-01-255, 1-20-123, 1-20-124 (these last two seem to be used together, reference picking up people in the Riverside & Moreno Valley area).

Any help would be appreciated.

Corona Norco USD contracts out their bus transportation to a company called First Student. I'm looking at RR to see what I can find, it seems like I have run across it when I was looking for something else.

sp, I checked RR earlier today. They list seven LTR systems that are blocked due to legal issues. Three of them are the NS&T systems that I already have. This system might be one of the remaining four.

I wonder why they care to block it? Airwaves are public, who the heck cares what is going on with non public safety stuff? Crazy!

Thought In posted it before, 461.850 is assigned to Fisher Wireless.

I put in 461.85 and surprisingly, I can hear it quite well in East Hemet. Tried searching that range and found a few control channels. If I find anything worthwhile, I'll let you know. I'm sure I saw it a long time ago on RR, likely before the legal action to keep it private.

I was getting some bus traffic on 461.775 today that sounded like it was the same outfit as 461.850. Doesn't seem like there is much freq hopping going on, as I seem to hear the whole conversation on one freq.
