Canyon Lake Fire Department Dispatching

Post by scanfaned »

As some may be aware, as of a few days ago the City of Canyon Lake (Riverside County) started their own fire department. Riverside County Fire Station 60 has been renamed to Canyon Lake Fire Station 1 and Canyon Like is using their own personnel.

I am curious if anyone is aware of how the new Canyon Lake Fire Department is being dispatched. I thought I had read that they have gone away from RVC fire dispatch, sounding like they are doing their own dispatching, although I could be mistaken. Anyone know?

Thanks!

Per this insider page….

“Dispatching and communication services will not change, according to the city. The city will continue utilizing the Riverside County/Cal Fire Emergency Command Center in Perris for all dispatching needs. “By contracting with the County of Riverside, which is currently dispatching for Riverside County/Cal Fire, all the equipment at the fire station and fire engine remain the same,” the city said. “The radios are properly programmed and the station alerting system is in place.”
