Are the frequencies used during fire season changing as well?

Updated frequencies for 2014.

RVC Fire-

RVC Tac 11 155.190. 192.8 Used countywide except for Blythe.

As discussed in another thread, paradise will be getting a RVC CMD 5 repeater so the northwest part of the county will be moving off of RVC CMD 1 eventually.

Corona Fire-
Tac 3 154.785. 103.5
Tac 4 156.150. 103.5

Is Paradise a mountaintop site?

Paradise isn't a mountain top site, more of a hill top. It's located approximately 1/2 mile directly northeast of the I-15/ Hwy 91 interchange in Corona. It's the site of the local PDZ (Paradize) VORTAC aviation navigational radio beacon. This beacon is a transition point for aircraft departing Ontario Int'l AP to the south and east, and for aircraft on the LAX approach from the southwest, not to mention a good deal of the local GA traffic. it's also usually the east turn-around point for the L.A. CAP flights when a political heavyweight is in L.A.

Thanks for the explanation. Now I know that Paradise is something other than a dream...
