sp I also find that changing the plan sometimes help to pick up some frequencies. In particular those who are narrowband.

I have no info on 453.0875 (I'm in Riverside), but to answer a question posed earlier in the thread:
I'm not aware of a UHF link between Riverside FD and Cal Fire. they do, however, use 154.175 as a VHF link between the two. RFD apparently leaves this link on 24/7 as you can hear their Command 2 channel (460.6) here constantly.

That VHF link is the only one I've ever heard between Riverside City Fire and Cal Fire. I remember when San Bernardino County had 1 or 2 UHF links which you could monitor in Riverside for the mountain areas. That was back in the 80's before they went to their trunked system.

There was a UHF link for the old Support 8 from Thomas I believe. I don't have the freq in front of me now but that's probably it. I cannot receive that from here though to confirm.

Correct Brandon. This is the frequency for the UHF link for old Support 8. I don't know if it is still being used. Ever since Command 8 went into service, I locked it out of the scanner as there was no longer a need for it.
