Eastern San Bernardino Valley area. Because I'm blocked by the Crafton Hills, I usually can't hear anything east or south of me.

I have had my Pro 96 sitiing on this since you first posted it, and have heard nothing from my location in Valle Vista. I wonder if it could be in use somewhere as a link to a repeater site? I stumbled across such a Cal Fire UHF link while seeing what is active in my new listening area.

Heard some traffic here finally last night about 1915 hrs. Sounded like police activity and nothing to do with Cal Fire. Male advising he was 10-97 and some other stuff which I could not figure out, female (dispatcher?) acknowledging. Only lasted a minute or so.

That is probably part of a trunked system then and it must be a voice channel.

Logged brief voice on this freq today. Dispatcher mentioned a "113 call" in Idyllwild and that RP stated her dog was killed.

Been in law enforcement for almost 30 years, never heard of a "113." Odd....

Just heard a burst of traffic, loud & clear. A male running 10-28 & 29 on someone, female dispatcher giving the results. She then dispatched a call of a subject with a gun that was impersonating a DEA agent. Now it has gone silent again. Transmission was phase 1 digital. Have been hearing some static bursts that last few days, but nothing clear like today.

Anyone hearing anything here? A day or 2 before the last traffic I heard, there was a lot of scratchy noises, like someone was transmitting on an adjacent channel which was bleeding over, but now it's completely dead again. I leave my Pro 96 sitting on this since there is nothing digital in these parts worth listening to.

I have been leaving my Pro 96 on this freq since this post first appeared 24/7, last time I heard anything was my last post. Wish I knew what this was, when it comes in at my QTH, it is loud & clear, but never lasts more than a couple of minutes. Anyone else hearing anything?
