RVC Cmd 4 - Used where?

Post by brandon »

Does this take the place of the old Support 6 in the Desert Center area? Heard units assigned to that freq for an incident near Chiraco Summit. Is it used in the Blythe area or just the deserts further west?

Educated guess would be replaces the old Support 4, unless that one has also been replaced already.

All of the mountain top repeaters in the Blythe and Desert Center have been converted to CMD 4 so any of the old support nets in the east desert are gone. CMD 4 is the primary response channel for the Blythe / Desert Center area.

I think pretty all the Supports have been switched out for commands.

Command 7 is used in the Banning/Beaumont area. Command 6 is used in the southwest division.

Seems similar to how it was when they were Support channels.
