Hemet Frequencies

Post by cvrules90 »

Vote passed 3:2 for Hemet to contract with Riverside County Fire. Which frequencies (command, tactical) will they operate on? I think we all know that dispatch will be on RRU 1.

Hemet citizens voted in candidates that want to keep Hemet fire. It is not likely Hemet will contract out now.

That's good. I thought it was a done deal, though, guess not.

So they'll stay on the VHF channels they have now.

Hemet fire only has 2 or 3 freqs, I bet they already have Cal Fire freqs in their radios, if they do switch it will not be a big deal, just give them a new radio ID.

They need CAL FIRE for interoperability reasons. Pretty much all their borders contract with RIvCo FIre so you might as well have them in for mutual aid. I"m sure fire crews in places like Callimesa have Hemet Fire programmed in.

Pretty much everybody in Riv Co (and California, to some extent) has each other's frequencies programmed in.

Righ. More likely than not for the purposes of interoperability with each other.
