Riverside County Fire station 96

Riverside County Fire station 96 opens today at 37700 Glen Oaks Rd east of Temecula. It is a temporary station with plans for a permanent station in the future.

Hopefully it's not like the "temporary" Station 58 in MV... 15 yrs later......

15 years... More like 20-something. I remember the "temporary" station when I first moved to MoVal back in Oct. of '87.

I'll be out at RCRMC on Thurs, will have to drive by the new station to see what progress is being made...

I remeber the old station 6. Used to hang out there on the weekends with the guys in '88-'89; then in '93 became a member of the ERF... Hey, anybody reading this knows if Chief Chamlee is still around? I know he retired after I moved out of MoVal.

Station 58 is a temporary station originally moved on the site in 1982 and up- dated in 1996. Stations 58 is located at 28020 Bay Avenue and services the eastern end of the City. The station is staffed by 3 full time firefighters and 25 volunteers. It is equipped with one engine, one brush engine and a rescue squad."
