Radio's Back in the day

Post by John L »

I ran across this web page with a ton of info on Radio History . It starts at about 1920 and goes up to the late 1990's.It has most of the old issues of Popular Electronics, Monitoring Times and lots of info on how radio got it's start when it was all there was before Television and the Internet.Something for everyone. I especially enjoyed the 1968 Radio Shack Catalog. If you take a look at the last page you can see where RS Scanner Technology was for that year. I didn't buy my first Scanner until 1972 but I remember friends using the "Patrolman" around that time. This was a time in Radio History when you could buy the kits and build your own. Enjoy.
