It was jumping when I first tuned in about 1800, but seems to have died off a bit. I think they may have been tracking a specific target, the pilot(s) sounded more intense than usual. Loud & clear in east Hemet area with just a mobile antenna sitting in the windowsill.

Obama visiting Rancho Mirage? Wait a minute! I never imagined he would wind up in the Palm Springs area. I would see himself in the four major metropolitan areas of Cali, but in Palm Springs area? 271.00 is active this morning. Hearing Bigfoot, Bluto 33 & 34. I just watched a fighter attempt to force down a Beechcraft Bonanza directly over my house. Fighter made several passes trying to read the tail # off the plane. Plane eventually landed at Ryan Field, jet took off to continue CAP duty.

They are now refueling from a tanker. Never heard this much activity on a NORAD freq. I guess Obama is good for something after all

Obama is coming back to SoCal this afternoon. It is likely that 271.000 will be active again later on today.
