Hearing electronic tones on this freq, which I have listed as NORAD AWACS. Have been hearing EAMS on 11175 khz from "Fire Ship" E4-B Airborne Command Post aircraft.

287.450 is active 21/Aug/2014

Hearing same electronic tones as before starting at 1150 when I turned on my radio. Source seems to be flying in a pattern of some type, signal goes from extremely strong to very weak, then booming again.

According to Mode S logger, it is E-3C 82-0006 USAF 552 ACW.

The tone emitted is a Time of Day signal from AWACS and JSTARS aircraft.

Just started receiving a TOD signal on this freq at 1335 hrs. According to mode S, it's an E3-B USAF 552ACW, Oklahoma City, OK, callsign Sentry 06.

The original E3-B 77-0352 left the area about 1655 local, a second E3-B has just arrived in the area, 77-0355, at 1800 local.

Hearing time of day signal again this morning, E-3B 77-0352 from 552ACW, Tinker AFB OKC per mode S logger. This has been active all weekend at various times of the day and night. Also heard air refueling traffic on 238.90 mhz.

Hearing TOD signal since 1000 PDT, must be orbiting and signal fades then strong again.
