369.90 mhz ZLA

369.90 mhz - Hearing Xray 21 (U-2 68-10336 USAF 412 TW DET-2) talking to ZLA, heading to R-2508 then back to Palmdale. Heard other aircraft here lately, advising ZLA they would be operating at flight level 600 an above, so likely other U-2s. Signal was very good, I imagine you can hear a U-2 at 60,000+ feet AGL from a pretty good distance.

This is L.A. Center's ultra high freq used for aircraft flying above 60K.
Oakland Center uses 296.7 for the same purpose, as does Albuquerque Center (321.3).

Not heard very often, but some interesting comms.
