Just saw this new system on RR. Anyone know if this system will be encrypted? At least it's not Phase II X2-TDMA.

None of the traffic I have heard so far has been encrypted.

San Bernardino County is supposed to be migrating System 9 users to a digital system sometime before June 2012. Whether or not this system is to be System 9's digital replacement remains to be seen.

I see an unencrypted talkgroup in the RR database so it's possible that it won't be. All that still remains to be seen. It will appearantly be 100% digital.
