This is the place to discuss Riverside County scanning related topics. Whether it be something about a particular agency, radios, antennas, or other general scanner related questions, you can talk about it here.

Hi,
My first recommendation is to program the PSR-300 with software called Win97. In addition to the software you'll need a programming cable. You can use this Win97 file as a starting point.

If you want to do it manually by hand, here is a good tutorial that also applies to your model.

The biggest thing is make sure the EDACS systems are programmed in LCN order, and start on the second channel of the bank for GRE scanners (ex: Ch 101, Ch 201, Ch 301, etc..)

The 15xx decimal groups are used by county agencies such as the Animal Control and Code Enforcement.

1569 Animal Control - Riverside City
1570 Animal Control - West County
1571 Animal Control - East County
1572 Animal Control - Car-to-Car
1587 Code Enforcement - Countywide
1591 Code Enforcement - West
1593 Code Enforcement - South

This one I am about 95% sure based on stuff they talk about. They use 'NRM' callsign designators.
1588 Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority

If you mean 15-xxx AFS talkgroups, those are patches and must be programmed into GRE scanners since they don't automatically detect patched talkgroups. I asked GRE about addressing this and was told its something they're researching. Hopefully in the future we'll see a firmware update to resolve this.

*Please disregard, I didn't notice that you had removed City of Riverside forums.*

I realize this is an old topic, but I just got my hands on a PSR-300. Brandon, do you still have available the win97 file that was linked above?

Thank you in advance.

You also have to put every site as a separate system in every bank. Otherwise, the scanner won't know which control channel to lock on.
