I am in need of assistance with the operation of my new Uniden scanner. Can anyone direct me to someone in the Riverside/ Rancho Cucamonga area that can walk me through the operation of this unit. It was purchased from ScannerMasters and pre-programmed but it appears that the PL tone for Riverside PD is incorrect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Frank

I can't help you with the operation of your Uniden scanner, but RPD changed it's channel 1 PL last year, maybe Scanner Master didn't have the updated info.

460.3 channel 2 PL131.8
460.325 channel 3 PL131.8

Hello Mike.
Thanks for the reply and updated info. My PL tone for RPD is 131.8 which is incorrect. Do you know how to make the changes?
thanks, Frank

Re: Help with my new Scanner
If it's a Uniden DMA scanner, when you enter the frequency and scroll down there should be an option called "Set Audio Type." There you can choose whether you want it to be analog, digital, or both. Select analog, and then scroll to "PL." Select that and scroll down until you see the right PL code. Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone for your help. I was able to find the procedure in a forum on radioreference that explained the steps. All is good now.
Thanks Again
