Flash Flood Warning - Indio

Strong storms this AM over the Indio area.
At 754 am PDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to
indicate heavy rain producing flash flooding. This storm was located
near Indio... moving southeast at 10 mph. This thunderstorms has now
crossed Interstate 10 and Highway 11... moving into La Quinta.
Rainfall rates with this thunderstorm are still in excess of 2
inches per hour... and flash flooding is likely. The California
Highway patrol is reporting 4 to 5 vehicles submerged in 3 to 4 feet
of water at the intersection of Washington street and Country Club
drive.

Hopefully there's enough sandbags. I remember those, there used to be a shipload of them in front of my school in the winter time.
