Does anyone know why when the display lights up, the flashlight also flashes with a notification? Thanks

You can turn it off.
I'm sure you already turned it off by now :)

Settings>General>Accessibility
Under 'Hearing'
LED Flash for Alerts.

I tried it for one night and turned it off in the middle of the morning long time ago!

Glad I have a Jitterbug...all it does is make calls and texts :D
