Pro-197
Re: Pro-197
The PSR 197 can only do Phase 1,and even if it could do Phase 2, the new PSEC network is all encrypted. I believe even the iCalls are.highway97 wrote:Will The Pro-197 Pickup The RSO I-Call Talkgroups I Know It Gets Phase-1. Brother Ed
Unless they still use the calling frequencies (simplex) of the 800MHz band.
Re: Pro-197
Unfortunately the Pro-197 will not. There is also no RSO i-call activity on the PSEC.

Re: Pro-197

Also, i was monitoring a while ago and i did hear some transmission from a I-CALL the ID numbers are:
i3300012
i3300016
Re: pro-197
Brandon told you everything you need to know. You could only monitor the simplex, 800MHz channels.highway97 wrote:will i pick up rso I call ch.s with this radio ?
Re: Pro-197
As far as I can tell, all the non-trunked, non-encrypted 800 mhz frequencies RSO used to have went away when PSEC went on line. I know the ones for the correctional facilities did. I'm assuming Sprint got all those, too.
Re: Pro-197
I ditto what everybody else says for this. First you need a Phase 2 scanner to even pick up the PSEC. Then, even with that, there is no possible way to hear RSO as they are now a fully encrypted agency. It will work if you go to San Bernardino, San Diego, or LA Counties though.
