Hearing SURF 11, SURF OPS, on 271.0 mhz, NORAD Blue 15 channel, with air to air chatter at 1400 local. Did not hear them take off as usual, so don;t know if they are coming or going. Started hearing them as BULLDOG flight of A-10's was on final approach.

hearing traffic on 271.0 mhz, unknown station ?? 01 calling BIGFOOT several times, no joy, ID'd frequency as primary. Not the usual March CAP activity. 1500 local.

Turns out it was Coast Guard 6508 doing radio checks with BIGFOOT, probably related to the POTUS visit in a few days. USCG aircraft participate in combat air patrols using callsign MONEY 01, they are fitted with a lighted sign board to communicate with aircraft that will not respond via radio.

POTUS CAP is active on 271.000. Players heard so far Bluto 35, Bluto 36, Nice 23 (Tanker) all wkg with Bigfoot (not audible here)

CAP today, primary is NORAD Blue 15 271.0 mhz, air refueling is Blue 17 282.6 mhz, 121.5 mhz challenges to TFR violators, 122.8 Palm Springs Unicom, L.A. Center Victor 128.60 mhz, UHF 346.40 mhz. Current tanker is NICE 27, KC-10A 83-0078 60 AMW Travis AFB, fighters are BLUTO 31 & 32 F-16's from 162nd Fighter Wing, AZ ANG, being relieved by BAND 21 & 22 F-16's from 421st Fighter Wing, Hill AFB UT.

271.0 mhz NORAD Blue 15 - Hearing SURF 11, 12, LOBO 81 with BIGFOOT. LOBO 81 advises he is looking for SURF 11 & 12. I heard SURF flight pass over my house to the east, followed by LOBO 81 trying to catch up. Lots of targeting info being passed from BIGFOOT. SURF are the combat air patrol F-16's from March JARB, LOBO 81 is the relief F-16 from South Dakota, unusual to hear all of them all together. QTH is Riverside County, CA.
