Regarding PL/DPL tones...

Post by convE36 »

If I search through frequencys and come accross a frequency with activity using a PL/DPL tone, it is always a conventional frequency right?

OR, can a trunking system use PL/DPL?

Correct. Trunking systems do not use PL/DPL.

Once a channel grant has been requested, and assigned, trunked systems use a tone similar to PL called 'connect tone' that they use to validate the mobile's signal into the system.
