Hi-
I've just moved back to southern Riverside county after living abroad for 8 years. I haven't been active in the scanning hobby since, but I am interested in getting back into the hobby. One thing I noticed when monitoring CAL FIRE is that the signals seem to be weak. It seems that I don't have the reception that I remember having about 10 years ago? Am I crazy? (I am using the same equipment)
I live within a few miles of 2 stations and RRU local seems to be weak and low volume. Do I need to be scanning in the narrow band? Does that make a difference? Thanks for any help or advice you may have.
Narrow Band Question
Re: Narrow Band Question
Weak signals, as in low audio? If so, yes, trying narrow band would be a good idea.
