My apologies - again. Apparently I didn't see the last page of posts. Excellant work in figuring this out, I appreciate the time you spent on this. it does explain a lot. Thanks for your help.

I ran into an old friend at the market who is a corporal for RCCPD. He confirms that all the mentioned colleges share one dispatch location in SB county. He also said that San Jacinto college police are supposed to join the same system soon. RCCPD police cars are now MDC equipped, which explains the lack of a lot of the routine radio traffic they used to generate in the old days.

The public schools need more money and the colleges get more toys. As a side note UCR police have not had computers in their cars for months now.

I really don't see a need for MDCs at RCCPD. The have LoJac, too, which is pointless, since what is the likelihood of a LoJac equipped vehicle being stolen AND remaining within the confines of the campus? Someone just likes a bunch of antennae on the cars to look "tacticool."
