What do/did you use the motorola radios for??

The same thing I use scanners for... to listen to public safety comms. The radios work 'better' then the scanners as far as sensitivity, and audio quality. Next to a Nextel tower, the scanner was useless... the radios worked. When I was making money using what I heard on the radio, I didn’t have time to miss fire size-ups and pursuit action. The ONE scanner I did have was only for versatility... I could easily program it as opposed to the Motorola's.
