My reception is horrible in my computer room. Well nothing close to what I would want to stream, to much static. Im getting pretty good reception on some channels but RPD 1 (460.325) isnt so good really till night time. Who knows maybe ill put it up just to try it out ;)

Well I've now got in my hands a psr-300. I have the bandwidth and I can use my media server upstairs in the master bedroom closet to stream from. Now to figure out A: if the reception I'm getting is good enough to share with others and B: to check A, I need to figure out how to stream it.

Any input/help/suggestions would be great so I can test it out. I already have a cable that will connect from the headphone jack on the scanner to my sound card as well as the programming cable.

Yesterday didn't work out. The box I am going to run the feed through has a bad hum on the line in. I'll be picking up a usb sound adapter with a line in later today or tomorrow and try again.

Well I got the stream working internally. I could expose it externally but it sounds like complete crap. It doesn't sound bad when it's not plugged in. I'm going to keep working on it if anyone is interested in a RPD dispatch feed.

Very interested in RPD dispatch feed. I use to run it but needed the radio for another project. Plus I have a directional antenna, so if I swung it to the south, the feed would go ka-put. I know a few other folks that would love to see RPD as well. As for the bad audio are you experiencing a hum or just over modulated?

Oh I just saw your other post. You need a ground loop isolator filter. This will fix the humming problem.

I have bought a few from eBay.

Brandon, As far as the "noise" is concerned, I'm not sure how to describe it now other than it's not what it sounds like when the scanner not attached to the computer.

*edit* fixed the port number.
