Temecula: 211PC

Post by temfreqhunter »

I'd thought I'd share this with all you guys sense RSO's press releases are very embellished and distract from what really occured.

At about 4:35 PM, Sheriff's Deputies from the Southwest station responded code to the Well's Fargo Bank on Ynez Rd in reference to a man that was just robbed (dispatch delay was 3 minutes). It took units about 2 minutes to get on scene. The RP reported that a WMA in his 20's with a medium build had robbed him and fled the scene in a silver colored Lexus sedan. He provided a plate, but it did not match the description of the vehicle he provided to RSO dispatch. Later into the incident, he claimed that he knew the man (dispatch did not advise how he knew the suspect). 2 Temecula 65 located the vehicle in the area of Meadows Pkwy and Pauba Rd. Eventually, Temecula 65 stopped the vehicle with another unit and two motor units at the 7-11 on Temecula Parkway and Apis Rd. The suspect was identified by the victim in an in-field line-up at the location. The driver (who was not the criminal) was described as an AMA wearing blue jeans and a dark blue shirt. The suspect, whose name is not released, was identified as a WMA in his 20's, with a medium build, 5'9'' in height, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is currently at the Southwest County Justice Center.

Other notes:

-The CHP was notified, but was not needed.
-Motor units not with Temecula 65 were performing Code Alex at all of the freeway on/offramps.
-Victim was transported by AMR Medic 433/Treated by Riverside County Fire Engine 12 to Rancho Springs Medical Center.
-The victim knew the suspect, but it is not known how.
