How to get rid of squelch tails?

Within the past month, RRU 1 has had a 1/3 second squelch tail (static) on the end of all their transmission. How can I get rid of this on my GRE PSR-500? I have tried lowering the "RF SQ Fade" option, but doing so interrupts transmissions on trunked systems. Is there another option or setting that I could try to reduce the length of the Squelch tails for conventional channels?

Well can't say I really know how the GRE PSR 500 works but I suggest setting squelch to the point just where all the "hiss" stops. That should get it right.
