CDF engines at RVC stations

I've been trying to figure out how (or if ) CDF engines are assigned to RVC stations. I hear some say "in quarters, station x" but then I hear that same engine dispatched from another station. Are they assigned just for the summer? Any info, thanks.

Stations 1, 10, 12, 14, 18, 20, 25, 28, 29 are CAL FIRE owned stations where RVC fire engines are also located. CAL FIRE engines move up and cover behind RVC engines when they are out for an extended period of time. i.e. Incidents/out of service etc. This is why you hear the same engine responding from different stations.

Can't the CDF engines be used for fill-ins like when a company is not available to make a run for a medical emergency?

That's what I thought. By the way, don't mean to get personal but which fire station do you work in?

That's OK I just asked. If you do not want to tell me, then you do not have to.

In my opinion it's a good idea to have multiple resources available because even if one is not used a lot, then it can be used in everyday ops so it's not wasted.

Does anybody know which Schedule-B engines are assigned to the camps and which engines are unit reserves, and which stations they are kept at when not in use. Thanks in advance.
