I just listened to the archives on the RCC PD feed on RR and heard Moreno Valley street names given, so they are still using the radios. I emailed the feed provider to ask what freq he is monitoring and will report back.

I'm also searching a few freqs in the ProScan radio for unattended logging/recording. 453.300 192.8 PL is quite busy, however the data signal on that freq really kills it for me.

Heard a unit on 453.300 say he was at Iris and Laselle. Google Maps shows it to be near Moreno Valley College.

From their website: "Moreno Valley College is now part of a multi college district of the Riverside Community College District alongside Riverside City College and Norco College."

Thanks for the info. I see on RR that RCC's FCC license for 453.3 was renewed this year, so maybe they share it with SB colleges?

I've spent hours monitoring 453.3 and have not heard any RCCPD traffic, just SB. I'm going to have to do more detective work to see what freq they use. Anyone else have any ideas/input/info?

According to the Cal State San Bernardino Police webpage here
Under the supervision of the Support Services Supervisor and the Dispatch Supervisor, the University Police Regional Dispatch Center efficiently communicates between the campus communities of CSUSB, Chaffey College and Riverside Community College District and those police officers in the field, collecting general or emergency information quickly, calmly, and accurately.
It looks like maybe CSUSB provides dispatching for RCC now. It wouldn't surprise me if they just patch all the dispatch channels together.

That's a big step up for dispatching for RCC. When I worked there, most of the dispatchers were student employees with no real training and varying levels of interest in what they were supposed to be doing.

Riverside Community College is getting new handheld radios. I don't know the brand or the model number. I was told that the officer will have to log in on each radio. I will try to get more info.

Ok after hours of boring listening here is the latest

RCC Riverside units are 3 paul 22 and
3 paul 16 both units were helping RPD looking for a suspect in handcuffs running from Community Hopspital on Thursday
RCC Moreno valley unit 5 paul 33 heard doing a traffic stop at LaSalle and Iris
RCC Norco Campus unit is 3 paul 53 Arriving at Norco at 10 pm for a campus search

other units heards 3 baker 15 stating he's a cal State unit 10-8 in Riverside thinking a Rover unit
3 paul 11 Cal State patrolling the Lion's Den
3 baker 25 Cal State in lot B with 3 baker 35 Cal State

Sounds like a mutual Dispatch center for Community Colleges.
hope this helps anybody

My apologies, I started this topic but haven't had time to follow-up with monitoring or research. Apparently no one knows what RCC security is usung anymore. I'm currently busy but in a few months my time should free-up and I'll see what I can find on this subject.
