I was wondering if any tentative (or firm) dates have been determined for the changeover.

Jan 2012. Both stations will be numbered RVC station 47 and 57.

I cannot believe this. I think this is the first FD to disband since Banning or Beaumont.

I've been monitoring RVC since the changeover and I've noticed that 27, 47, 57 and 64 are using RRU-2 for response instead of Support 5 (as late as last week). Anyone know if this is temporary or indicative of a permanent change coming up? I haven't heard the other Battalion 4 stations much at all.

There's a temporary RRU-2 repeater on Paradise overlooking Norco.
My understanding is that comms on Support 5 and RVC Command 1 are difficult in parts of the city and it is a temporary solution, as RRU-2 should be very busy come fire season. No idea what the long-term plan is.

RRU-2 has been removed from paradise and RVC Command 1 is now using paradise.

So are they using Command 1 for response now?
