Riverside County Fire web site

I see the web site station area has been updated. That bring a question that i saw. Did them move a Haz-mat unit into station 20 for one of the other stations (34,81)?

Actually, that is old information. Due to budget reductions, it was decided to reduce from 2 full hazmat teams at 34 and 81 to having 1 hazmat team at 20 which is centrally located. That was not feasible so the hazmat team was split up and stations 34 and 81 each had a hazmat squad. The tractor trailer hazmat unit remained at 20 to respond with either hazmat squad. That soon became not feasible and both hazmat teams were placed back at stations 34 and 81. The hazmat team was removed from 20.
