I was driving back home from Hemet area and couldnt believe I was picking up Canyon Lake Security from Domenigoni Parkway and Highway 79. Not only is it pretty damn far away, but there are a couple hills in the way.

They obviously have a TOO powerful radio system. They only need to cover at most 2-3 miles from there base!

I believe they are on a repeater. One company I worked for I could talk from Compton to Riverside clear as day.

I am located about a mile from where there base is.

I can hear them pefectly from here on 461.3875

If I monitor 466.3875 it is always a bit static but I have heard transmissions (base+mobile) on this freq that were not on 461.3875...

Only thing I would guess is that the mobile is not using the repeater at that time????
